About Balzer Food

Balzer Food is a Poland-based supplier and exporter of meat, dairy and egg products, headquartered in Warsaw. We serve business clients across North Africa and the Maghreb, West and Central Africa, the Middle East and Europe, and we are actively expanding into new markets. Our team brings over 15 years of combined experience in international food trade, sourcing and logistics.

Why Balzer Food?

  • Full-range sourcing — meat, milk powders and egg products from a single, reliable supplier, reducing the number of vendors you need to manage.
  • Proven logistics network — deliveries by air, sea and land, tailored to order size and destination.
  • Strict quality control — certified suppliers, pre-shipment inspection, laboratory testing and loading supervision on every consignment.
  • Over 15 years of industry experience on the team, across sourcing, export documentation and international trade compliance.
  • Direct, responsive communication — one point of contact from inquiry to delivery.

What does Balzer Food supply?

Balzer Meat — beef, poultry, frozen meat, livestock, animal by-products and canned meat.
Balzer Milk — milk powders, milk fats, vegetable fats, oils and cheeses.
Balzer Eggs — egg powders, liquid egg products and fresh eggs.

Beyond our three core lines, we also trade coffee beans, cocoa, mushrooms and other food commodities on request.

Where does Balzer Food operate?

Balzer Food exports from Poland to business clients worldwide. Our established markets include:

  • North Africa and the Maghreb — Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt.
  • West and Central Africa — Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Nigeria, the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Middle East — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.
  • Western and Central Europe — France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Czechia, Slovakia and Lithuania.

Our transport partners handle air, sea and land freight, allowing us to serve both regional and long-distance markets reliably — from full reefer container loads by sea to time-critical air shipments. How does Balzer Food ensure product quality?

Certified suppliers. We source exclusively from Polish and EU establishments certified to internationally recognised food safety standards — IFS Food, BRCGS Food Safety and HACCP — and holding valid halal certification where the destination market requires it. Every plant operates under EU veterinary approval with its own approval number and is registered in the EU TRACES system.

Supplier qualification. Certificates, approval numbers and plant status are verified before the first order and re-checked at each renewal. We work only with suppliers whose certification is current and verifiable.

Pre-shipment inspection. Every consignment is inspected before dispatch using statistical sampling (AQL, ISO 2859-1), covering organoleptic and physical characteristics — colour, odour, texture, lean-to-fat ratio, ice glazing, absence of foreign bodies — together with net and gross weight verification against the packing list.

Temperature control. Core product temperature is measured at loading: frozen goods at −18 °C or below, chilled goods within 0–4 °C. Reefer containers are pre-cooled before stuffing and temperature data loggers accompany the shipment to destination.

Packaging and labelling. We verify packaging integrity, batch coding, production and expiry dates, and label compliance with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 as well as the language and marking requirements of the destination country.

Laboratory testing. Certificates of analysis are reviewed for every batch — microbiological parameters (Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Enterobacteriaceae, E. coli, total viable count), chemical parameters (heavy metals, veterinary drug and pesticide residues) and compositional values (fat, protein, moisture). Independent third-party testing is arranged where the buyer or destination market requires it.

Loading supervision and sealing. Container cleanliness and suitability are checked before stuffing, loading is supervised, and seal numbers are recorded and reported to the buyer.

Documentation and traceability. Every shipment travels with an EU export health certificate, certificate of origin, certificate of analysis and, where required, halal certification. Full traceability to batch and production plant is maintained in line with Regulation (EC) No 178/2002, supported by HACCP systems compliant with Regulations (EC) No 852/2004 and 853/2004.
